Hinckley Sea Cadets are a long-established youth organisation offering young people across Hinckley and the wider Leicestershire area the chance to experience practical nautical skills, water-based activities, and structured personal development.
With strong links to the national Sea Cadets Corps, the unit follows a recognised training programme inspired by Royal Navy traditions, providing a unique blend of adventure, discipline, teamwork, and fun. Supported by Hinckley Wharf CIC, the unit benefits from safe access to the water, community facilities, and a dedicated environment for boating and land-based training.
What Hinckley Sea Cadets Offer – Nautical Skills & Water-Based Training

Cadets and Juniors
Hinckley Sea Cadets accepts two age groups:

Juniors (10–12) – Fun, engaging sessions introducing nautical themes, teamwork, and basic skills.

Sea Cadets (12–18) – A more advanced programme with boating, navigation, leadership, and formal qualifications.
Both levels help young people grow in confidence and explore their potential in a safe, supportive space.
