Introducing Our Community Partners
At Hinckley Wharf CIC, our mission is shaped by the organisations that breathe life into the Wharf every week. These groups represent the heart of our community activity, each offering unique opportunities for recreation, learning, environmental care and social connection.
Today, we’re pleased to introduce — or reintroduce — the four community partners who share and enrich the Wharf.
Brookfield Fishers
A friendly, responsible angling community dedicated to protecting our waterways and encouraging inclusive access to fishing. They offer opportunities for beginners and experienced anglers alike to enjoy peaceful, sustainable recreation on the water.
Hinckley Sea Cadets
The Sea Cadets provide young people aged 10–18 with a structured, exciting programme inspired by Royal Navy traditions. From boating and rowing to leadership, seamanship and first aid, the unit helps young people gain confidence, skills and adventure.
Hinckley Water Activities Club
Offering kayaking, canoeing and stand-up paddleboarding (SUP), this club creates fun, safe and accessible opportunities for people of all ages to enjoy paddle sports. It’s a brilliant way to stay active, build water confidence and get outdoors.
Hinckley Boat Club
A long-standing boating community offering safe moorings, social activities, volunteer days and shared expertise for both new and seasoned boaters. Their involvement supports local waterway culture, heritage and responsible boating.
Working Together for the Community
Each group contributes something special to the Wharf, and Hinckley Wharf CIC is proud to support their work through safe facilities, coordinated access and a shared commitment to community benefit. We look forward to celebrating their stories, achievements and activities in future posts.
